Mokulele Airlines $52 Air Fare Special!

Today Mokulele Airlines announced via their Facebook a web only fare special starting from $52.80 which is valid on all of their routes. This is definitely a great savings since inter-island air fares have only been going higher! This beats out Hawaiian and go!mokulele's earlier $69.00 air fare special that they put out last week. This special fare is non-refundable and does not allow any changes.

Air Australia Grounds Flights To Hawaii

A couple of months ago we introduced you to a new face in the Australia to Hawaii market. Today Air Australia, formely known as Strategic Airlines grounded their entire fleet after being placed into bankruptcy. The airline began twice-weekly flights to Honolulu in December from both Brisbane and Melbourne.

Hawaiian Airlines is offering a $300 one-way fare for stranded Air Australia customers who now need passage home. The Hawaiian flight will be to and from Sydney only. Reservations will be available at Hawaiian Airlines’ call center (800) 367-5320 or at the Honolulu Airport beginning at 3 p.m. today. Passengers booking the fare will be asked to show their Air Australia ticket or itinerary when checking in.

 

 

This leaves the Australian to Hawaii market in the hands of Jetstar, Qantas and Hawaiian.

United Says "Aloha" to Washington D.C.!

Today United Airlines announced new non-stop flights between Honolulu International Airport and Washington/Dulles International Airport beginning June 7, 2012.They will be utilizing a Boeing 767-400 aircraft on this route. This will create the only non-stop service between these two destinations. United has yet to offer any type of fare sale on this new route. With Hawaiian's New York announcement and Mokulele's Chicago announcement, this will be the third eastern US destination added within the last month. We are very exited to see what 2012 will bring us!

This fare is limited to only two days in March and don't expect it to be there much longer.It has been awhile since Hawaiian has offered such a low fare on their LAX route. Mokulele Airlines Announces Service to Chicago and London!

Today Mokulele Airlines received DOT approval to begin charter flights between Honolulu International Airport and Rockford Chicago beginning April 13, 2012. In May they will expand to London's Stansted Airport from Rockford beginning May 4, 2012. They will be utilizing a 218 seat Boeing 767-200ER aircraft. This will create a one stop flight between Europe and Hawaii.

Fares and schedules have yet to be announced, and we look forward to seeing what awesome deals they will have. This is defiantly very exciting news for Hawaii travelers.
